Heo Jungwoo continues an ongoing set of experiments in furniture, lighting, and object-making, grounded in the question: “Amid the endless flow of information, what can we practice beyond imitation?” Working from the idea that “a frame is both a rule imposed from the outside and a tool that resists from within,” he seeks to move beyond theoretical frameworks and instead uncover a subtle, almost irrational form of internal resistance through the body, space, material, and ritual. Through these inquiries, his work marks the delicate equilibrium between the rules imposed from the outside and the minute resistances that arise in response.
